X-Psy

Post by arne on Thu Oct 21, 2010 5:17 am

I hve two theories about the X-Psy: First: X-Psy are able to cause things to explode or burn with their minds.
Second: X-Psy are able to disintegrate things because they change the structure of Molecules with their mind.

What do you thing?

I think both of those theories sound very plausible.

Personally I see the X-psy as the mental version of a nuclear weapon. And that is not the cardinals either...

What would the cardinals be?

Imagine a weapon capable of destroying a planet, kinda like the Death Star from Star Wars...one shot and goodbye Alderon...

No way...if that was the case the planet would have been destroyed already. Sienna couldn't possibly be the first cardinal X-Psy

I also don`t think so. Cardinal-Psy are very rare and some of the psy call them a myth, but there were Cardinal X-Psy before Sienna.

I wasn't talking in literal terms of those activities, I was speaking in terms of like power strengths between the Cardinal/Non-Cardinal power levels...it was the best way to get a picture of how to measure strengths mentally...at least for me it worked. geek

So what do you think they are capable of. Realistically, I mean.

Realistically, I think the wolf pack caves are in danger of being caved in with a single thought...I think that the x-psy don't move or displace things or living creatures...I think they are the destructive force of the psy that does physical damage to non living things.

*bows* love your thinking people. Anything is possible Smile Specially since Nalini's angels can do that nuclear thing-y. Also, X-psy could mean that she takes power from non living things, say electricity and transform it into a lethal weapon in her arms. (like the clash of the archangels in Angels' Blood)

I think this is more plausible, just based on what we have seen Sienna do so far.
And I am not sure if I am missing something, because I have heard a few people say they think her powers are of the fire sort.
But remember when she was looking at the wall of paintings that is important to Hawke and the wall cracked?
That was around the time she left to DR to stabilize her shields.
I remember Judd saying their powers were similar, and he can do the molecule switcheroo thing.
And during a Q&A, NS said that Sienna was the only cardinal X-Psy.
She probably isn't the only one to ever have existed, but its most likely she is the only one alive now.

Actually Judd doesn't manipulate molecules. He manipulates cells. Molecules are MUCH smaller. If a cell is the size of Jupiter then a molecule would be the size of Mercury.

But I get your point...I don't agree, but it got me thinking.

Maybe Sienna is capable of causing things to disintegrate? If she was able to make things move around (like from point a to point b) then she would be a TK.

I like this idea of X-Psy being able to manipulate things on a molecular level, because I can see why the Psy would be very scared of (er, no emotions, so, well, very cautious about) X-Psy. What I don't see is how the X-Psy relate to the E-Psy. And I'm pretty sure they do, somehow. The author of the doctoral thesis/book that Nikita sent Sascha about the E-Psy was supposedly working on a manuscript about the X-Psy when she was died (or was maybe killed). And I need to re-read but I think it says somewhere the E-Psy and X-Psy abilities are related. May be wrong about that part though. Now if I can only figure out which book that part is in! I'm just hoping that Sienna figures out how to use it to avoid some of the coming bloodbath.

Maybe X-Psy are.. a combination. Like, when two powerfull things cross eachother and create something new.

She can do what Judd can, only better (like molecules instead of cells) PLUS she has some sort of power over, let's say.. fire. So she cannot only make a tree look damn different, she can also make parts of the tree burn. From within or wherever. If she has power over electricity then she might be something like a source of power. Or she can sense where sources are and use them as she like. She might be able to kindle power or use kinetic energy etc.

I really can't wait. Your ideas are awesome! Daaamn, now I'm even more curious xD

maybe she wasn't even killed by the council, maybe she was killed by an X-Psy. Accidently maybe, but for her thesis, she needs prove, so she had to find some X-Psys and study them.

Or maybe they were just both so very rare.. And that was btw a thought I had before I read the book, so no, it's not a spoiler xD

When I think about x-psy powers I always think about Jean, from x-men... I don't know, but I think Sienna's powers are a bit like Jean's.

This is a terrific idea about a possibility for Siennas powers!
In addition I like both, the comics and the X-Men movies. I was and always will be a big fan of Jean aka Phoenix - despite her poor choice of boyfriends (who goes with Cyclops when you can have Wolverine?! Very Happy).
