Huh, it didn't feel like that to me.
So, if I compare them..

NS: Awesome worldbuilding, seriously! Not so awesome or complex characters, though.
Ward: Both middle-range, the characters are .. good and the story is, too. But in the end it's not some mind-blowing-stuff, whereas NS's Psy/Changeling-world (WORLD, not the characters!) is like viagra to me.

NS: Don't know, where she wants to go with the story, but she's told us that she knows exactly how she wants it to end -> we feel safe
Ward: Don't know if she knows how to end the story, don't know if she was a story arc, don't feel safe about the books, but enjoy them nonetheless.

I think, overall, the main difference is, that Wards book are.. darker. There are major problems. There IS a happy ending, BUT there are still problems. As for the rest, well.. I think you should read them, but you might try out an excerpt or 'buy' them via Tauschticket etc. just to be sure. Smile

.. Did I really compare NS books .. viagra.. gosh, I'm so fucked up.

I'm take part at the half-marathon because it's for charity. It's really hard to say no when it's for charity. A couple of friends talked me into it, and stupid person that I am, I agreed. Now I have to train for a half-marathon. I just want to reach the goal somehow. If I have to crawl the last kilometers ( which will be very likely) I don't care. At least I can say I did it.

Jesus Christ, I'd WALK. That's it. Maybe with a Frappucino and a brownie. Dunno, might even read a book on my WALK! xD We had to run for money every year at school since I was.. 7th or 8th grade (I think the poor guys who're attending school NOW have to run this month, just as we always had to...) Sometimes I just gave them the money so I didn't have to run and when I ran I always made.. hm.. I think 20€. I was one of the people who got the most and I didn't even feel like shit afterwards, bu I'm just such a lazy person.. xD And nowadays I can't run at all. Stupid meds, I'm even out of breath when I go to the balcony xDD (Nah, okay, not thaat bad)

Mom's birthday is tomorrow and I'm so sick, I can't even buy the little things I haven't bought yet. -___-' Such a nice person I am. Go, me!

I always hated jogging and any other kind of running but since I have to do it now on a regular basis, it's not so bad at all. I'm not a very sportive person but since I noticed that I really improved and that I'm not out of breath after a few meters now, it's really nice sometimes. I also lost some weight, that's nice too. Very Happy I just hope my motivation keeps up like this.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick. I hope it will get better soon.

Hoping with you!

Did you start the usual way? Like "2 minutes jogging, 1 minute walking, 4 minutes jogging, 1/2 walking, 10 minutes jogging etc." or did you start like.. "30 minutes and no break! NOW!"?

Oh, don't talk about weight loss, fucking new meds, I feel like an elephant! xD And here I had an eating disorder. Stupid doc, could've warned me about that.. Meh! Well, I'm gonna live, soo it's okay. Wink

Might start doing some crunches again, then jogging, then whatever. Jesus, I once kicked ass like Buffy. Well, no, not like Buffy. But like one of the Potentials. Well, no.. but.. um.. Whatever xDD

I started training in january, and yes, I started the usual way. I even went to the physician to check if I was okay. I kicked ass too. I went boxing during my teen years... my gosh, I'm talking like I'm an old granny, I'm only 22.

I will! Now that I got into it I'm too ambitious to give up.

I've got some time to train, the marathon is in October. Well, I won't an award but it's not about that anyway. I need to prove that I can do it. To myself and to win a stupid bet. And for the charity of course Very Happy

Ugh, marathons. I feel like I should want to do one... but I don't see it happening. I was into soccer/football fanatically in school so I did a fair amount of running. However, I drove the coaches nuts because I was a "lazy runner" - I'd sprint at the last minute. I got the job done but gave the coaches heart attacks at the same time Embarassed

I'm feeling weird too. Sort of melancholic. Dunno why. Maybe it's the weather. It was wonderful springy weather over the weekend. But today, it was dull and grey. I'm not very good at handling bad weather sometimes.

Melancholic, too. But I'm feeling melancholic all the time (I mean, that's what major depressions do to you, after all :'D). Might be the weather, true. Although I like the rain much more than the 32°C. Hmm.. :')

Might be that I was melancholic before and the weather just made it worse. Today, it's sunny again and I feel much better. After the long, cold winter I need my share of Vitamin D. I don't particularly need 32°C either, only when I'm free to go swimming.

If a silent childhood means to end up with a hottie, I´m totally happy with my life

But my mother means everything to me... Tattoed her on my ankle, now my foot has a reason for existing... Feet are my less favorite part of the human body

Yes, very. We were of those families where everything worked out fine. Well, we still are. The saying is true in a sense, time can mend many wounds. Not fully, but they do get better.

I also don't like my own feet. They look funny.

Feet. I hate feet. I do like the scenes in the book, because they are funny, but seriously, feet? And wtf, your's look "funny"? xD

Sarah, cannot agree more with you. Okay, no, I'd like to have everything. A DAD, my mommy and a hot guy, but the latter two are okay, too. Very Happy Till now the only thing I got were major depressions and an eating disorder, but hey, things can change.. Hottie, where are you? xD

My mom's everything to me, too. Her birthday was on Tuesday. Smile

Oh Sad That's sad. My family is.. well, we have problems. My mom and me, were like best friends. But the rest? Not so much. In the end they don't matter and everything works out just fine except that I have those issues and my mom got um, what's it called? not cancer, in German it's Hirntumore. Well, it's not like it's easy, but we love eachother and I won't ask for more right now Very Happy
But if you love someone and it really works, I can only imagine the pain Sad

That's the one thing you learn from such experiences: That you have the strength to survive such losses and go on.
Now, when something bad happens, I know I can live through it and I won't let me wear down.
