I hope so too. It makes you also learn a lot about yourself beside the strength issue.
My itunes is playing "Living in the Past" by Jethro Tull. Next Song is Love Song by Cruel Black Dove.

Re: Off-Topic
I really enjoyed reading Matched. It has something to it.. Well, also the synopsis of the next book killed me, which is a good sign. (Okay, that sounds so damn twisted xD)
I didn't even know.. ah, right Decode was on the Twilight-soundtrack! Riight. I listened to them because one of their tracks was on Sims xDDD Well, I liked them. Although I really didn't like the whole drama about the Farro-brothers. To me, Paramore was about music and without those two it truly isn't the same Paramore anymore. How could it be? But it's still okay, because both parties want to continue making music and even if not, it's better not to make music at all than do it if you're not really into it. I know, lots of fans wanted them (Paramore and the Farro-brothers) to explain themselves. After the blog that's been posted (and deleted already), I can fully understand it, since the content wasn't nice and I really hope Hayley said the truth and it was a hacker who wrote it. I also understand that Joshs answer to this blog (since he thought she wrote that one that has already been deleted) offended her and the band, but Paramore's MTV-appearance was awful, offending, humiliating and unfair, which makes me uncomfortable about their music.
The Hollows is a good series. It's about character-development, which I always enjoy. I love how Rachel, the heroine, develops through the series. Also, the books that were written later are better than the first ones which doesn't happen too often. Most books become boring, but with Harrison you really go on a ride and enjoy every minute of it. Pale Demon, the latest book, was too fast, but I still loved it, because we really get to see some things there that have been mentioned often but never really explained. Jesus Christ, the next book will be released next year xD Damn!

Re: Off-Topic
Don't you read ebooks? It's the easiest way to decide for me xD If I have a book-series and everything matches but I can't wait and want to read a book, even if it doesnt match the other books, I buy it as an ebook.
With Matched, yes, I had some problems, too. Lately there have been lots of books I actually enjoyed but didn't really know how to rate. Or I didn#t like a book but had to admit that it was written very well and that the plot was good, too. Sometimes it's just that I don't get into the story well enough or that I think the story has been too fast. (cough Romeo and Juliette cough)

Re: Off-Topic
Patricia do you have a list of The Hollows, know what I mean?? Sounds interesting and I need some new reading stuff
Any proposals, you girls seem to match my taste
If I´m honest - I don´t even know what an ebook is

Hm, do you bookblog?
I got mine because of the mail I send Nalini, dunno. The other ARCs or books I get, well mostly it's via Goodreads or the publishers here in Germany.

Re: Off-Topic
Oh, sorry, I guess I always use the word this way. If you have a blog (like on wordpress, blogspot etc.) and talk about books there I call it "bookblogging" In the USA you need to be popular to get ARCs, but in Germany many bookbloggers (even the ones that just got started, which is kinda weird) get lots of books for free because they review the books blabla.
Re: Off-Topic
Ahhhhhhhh.
*looks into moving to Germany* Because switching countries for early books is such a responsible thing to do

Nina, but we don't get books from the USA, so actually you'd have to wait even longer.. xD
Re: Off-Topic
Lover Unleashed sorry for the delayed post on this I am only now reading it so was unable to participate earlier
- Spoiler:
- I have been reading this book well not reading listening to Jim Frangione doing the audio while playing my game and doing housework. I have a few comments to make after the rather poor reception this book seems to have garnered.
In my opinion the books are about the Black Dagger Brotherhood . Although each book has a central theme about a couple by and large this is a story about the brothers. Some of the stories may not be as great because the story of Payne and Manny you have to understand is collateral. This book is about Vishous. Manny and Payne there isn't much that can be so different from the other stories but what is happening to Vishous and his history and everything including first and formost his relationship with Butch. In fact the reason I absolutely loved Butch's book was because of that exploring of the relationship that JR ward did between those two men. She really seem to have a knack for writing these types of scenes without apology and I am not talking about the sexual attraction but the true friendship between them. My god that is such an amazing friendship and JR ward did an amazing job here on exploring that furthur. There is beauty in the love between these two friends that goes so much beyond anything he shares with Jane even. I know she writes really brutal stuff in fact I think with Xhex's rape in the previous book, no man can write or imagine rape as a women can and similarly here in this book she writes with such pain, depth , hurt and growth or mere coping .How Vishous and Butch handle the problem and how totally out of control he is.
I felt very bad for Jane when I realised he had not even done the mating thing for her making her the only shellen whose mate did not love her enough to have her name on his back with his excuse that that ceremony was bs. She was very accepting and at one point when she says she cannot be the one who does all the loving meaning she loves him more than he loves her I felt so sad for her. I mean you know how she lost her sister and how much she loved her I wanted someone to really love her back that way, unconditionally. The way Vishous describes their relationship since their marriage it sounds like they did not really have much interaction. They worked and they slept together but like he said he was not close to her and did not take time to love her. I felt that was not right but you know Vishous is so damaged by that asshole of a dad he had so who can blame him . However Butch was so great a friend like that who can ask for any one better. I know Vishous knows it too .He says remember that he trusts no one else to play the dom over him . He has always been the dom with those women subs but he wanted Butch to be the dom.
Eventhough the book the main romance might not be compelling but this part and the part about Qhuinn and Blay were all very well written and played out. She writes with such raw emotions it is very hard sometimes to just read the book . You have so many emotions running amok after awhile and that makes it hard sometimes to really enjoy the book. Come to think of it her books are not happy time for sure they always leave you feeling upset even when they end it well.

Re: Off-Topic
I wrote this on the amazon forums because I was so tired of the criticisms about Jane.
- Spoiler:
- I do not agree about the direction most people want JR Ward to go with V and how she should have written V's mate to be. That is so boring and trite . Find him a mate that is warm .No that is easy . We do not choose the ones we fall in love with and yes Jane is cold because of her upbringing and her coping mechanisms. She is who she is and it is because many fans love Vishous that so many dislike Jane. But think about it how many novels write the easy relationship and patch things up easily too. I admire the fact that Jane did not change so drastically and all the criticisms about her crying is so funny. You want emotion how else is she suppose to show it if not by crying silently given her make up.
In the other threads everyone keeps talking about how JR ward made Jane cry to show her to be more emotional instead of the cold person she is . What was Ward suppose to do to show how a person like Jane is going to feel .You think her dying and her inadequecy feelings are not to be dealt with. No V deserves attention. Don't get me wrong I love V but I think that their relationship is very different from everything else. It stands out and it is something that is powerful for its emptiness because it is a reflection of these two people. I think JR ward made the right choice with Jane. Not because it was to torture V more but he would never have been able to mate with someone who kept bugging him to open up or run about saying how much she loves him. Jane is the perfect mate for him. He cannot handle talking about himself or even spending too much time with a mate ,Jane is perfect she is not needy and she is very focussed on her work. Yes they seem to have a cold relationship and it broke my heart he had not carved her name into his back. Everyone talks about how she is not doing enough for him but aside from saying he loves her what has he done for her ? How has he helped her feel not unwanted or erased all her own feelings of unworthiness. You think Jane is a person who is confident about his love for her when she doubts she is enough for him. So she cannot do the Dom stuff and she cannot talk to him nor handle his problems because of her own issues. Yes this is a very sad situation but we have that great friendship with Butch for that . However she is still the women he loves or rather the ghost he loves.
When Jane was thinking about her problems with V one of the stark realisties of her situation was that she had no where to go if things did not work out between them. She was made a ghost by his mother and she works in the compound to patch the brothers up. But if she and V broke up no one for even a moment gave any thought about what she would do if that happened. V would always be with the brotherhood and he had Butch. Who exactly does she have ? God my heart ached for her at that moment that was so painful. To have nobody like that to be so alone in your life. I know that V had a horrible life and I cried when I read his book but quite honestly he is really not what Jane needs either if you come down to it. They are mismatched and I love that JR ward wrote this the way she did.
She loved him enough to try to make sure he never killed Payne himself now that is some display of love far more potent that just saying "I love you ". Or is that not a real demonstration of how much she loves V. People complain she does not say "I love you" but has she not shown how much she does. V keeps saying he loves her but he just assumed that she was killing Payne because of what Payne wanted....so tell me in this scenario who showed better how much they loved the other ? I think JR ward did a very good job on this mating and she did not go the easy route and I am so glad that she did not make a dimestore harlequin romance.

I really love your review and your thoughts about Jane. I can only agree. I didn't even know there are people who dislike her. Of course, there always are.. But really, she's such a wonderfull character!
Re: Off-Topic
Jane is probably my favorite female character in the entire Black Dagger brotherhood series. She's a not a ''stay-at-home female.'' She's a tough female. And probably the most relatable in my opinion.

Re: Off-Topic
Wow they came out of the woodwork at me . I had to defend my position. I guess people have fixed ideas about romance novels and Ward was writing in a paranormal romance category and they are fixed with the idea it has to be Jane that helps V and not Butch.

Re: Off-Topic
People need to get it together that Jane can only help V so much. Butch has this unique kind of connection with V. It's another type of love that V needs. I guess he picks up where Jane leaves off...if that makes ANY type of sense at all.
I adore the relationship between Jane, Butch and V. It's so complex and intimate...and so differen't. It's probably the only reason I even read Lover Unleashed.
