I really wish someone would post the whole dance scene. Sigh. Or is that too much to ask for? *puppyeyes*

Nah, can't do that it would ruin it for you. But here's a glimpse.

Spoiler:
Her door opened as a slow smoky ballad began to play. "Come." An invitation-but mostly a demand.

"My shoes," she blurted out, anger buried under a wave of nervous anticipation.

"The ground's dry. "They won't sink in."

Not sure this wasn't all a dream, she placed her hand in his and, fighting the wild rush of sensation engendered by his touch and his scent, allowed him to tug her around to the front of the vehicle. Breaking the hold he put his hands on her hips and pulled her forward, his breath a heated caress across her cheek as he bent to speak against her ear. "Arms around my neck."

His jaw heavy with stubble rubbed against her temple again as he shifted his hold to press her closer. Then as the music played, as the night grew softer and quieter, they danced.

He's Sienna's uncle, Hawke's lieutenant, Marlee & Toby's uncle, Walker's younger brother, Brenna's mate, Riley, Mercy, Drew & Indigo's bro-in-law....get what I mean. He's that good.

I've always thought that if Judd becomes megalomaniac and staged a friendly coup d'etat (convincing his relatives and friends that it will give them more time for their mates and kids), he can take over as alpha of SnowDancer and DarkRiver. Wink

thanks for all the quotes! Hope you can keep it up. My wait goes to November for the paperback, can't find a bookstore with incoming stocks for the hardbound. May have to settle for the ebook (but I want to turn paper pages) if I get really impatient

Bluebourbon, YOU ROCK!!

I'm in South Africa and none of the bookstores here are stocking KoS. Hence I had to buy it online and it'll be another 2-3 weeks before I can get my hands on it.

Thanks for the spoilers.

BlueQueen: Not a foot fetish per se, more a bit of love play between Hawke and Sienna. It's cute.

Spoiler:
Her foot curled under his touch , a delicate kittenish arch. "Maybe I'm the one who's going to end up with a foot fetish," he murmured.
A laugh that sounded startled out of her.

Hi san12, That's weird you not getting your copy till August. I usually order with The Book Depository who are UK based and I get them from there because I don't have to pay postage. From UK to Australia is 1 week. and their site says their release is 31 May. Check it out.

Does anyone know which ebookstore allows the earliest download time on release date? I believe that Amazon download starts at midnight Pacific time and booksonboard.com starts at midnight Central time. I have never used Diesel books, but I noticed it is based in Virginia; so do downloads start at midnight Eastern time on release date?

for the lucky readers, a question: The Laurens are close as a family. Didn't Sienna's uncles ever threaten to dismember / castrate / incapacitate Hawke during all of this blowing hot and cold that Hawke does?

Re: Just got my ARC

Elaine: No the Laurens are more refined than that. As Sienna says, "Walker just stares at you until you do what he wants." And Walker does have his say to Hawke, in fact quite a few have their say including Judd, but it's in that quiet psy way, so more potent because of it.

There's a flashback to when the Lauren's first arrive in Snow Dancer territory when they defect from the net. It's a great little part in the book that explains so much more about Judd and Walker.

Speaking of Judd taking over the world Elaine here's a little tidbit:
Spoiler:
The Ghost: "You could've ruled." For all of Judd's power the Ghost had never before considered that possibility.
"It would have killed what remained of my soul."

Yeah Judd! I always thought you're too sane to harbor ambitions about ruling.

Thanks bluebourbon.

PS: Has it become clear I'm more interested in what's going on with Judd than with his alpha? pale

Can I ask you lucky ladies who have read the arc copies if there is a part of you that wishes that you hadn't received an early copy so you could experience this excruciating but also very exciting wait (these last days are dragging), for KOS???? And can't wait to be able to discuss the book openly with you after we have it - I think it's going to be interesting, I am wondering just how pissed off I am gonna be at Hawke - before I fall totally in love with him of course, and wondering about the scenes around the spoilers. I can't wait for the whole coyote ugly thing - go Sienna!!! Smile

Re: Just got my ARC

San12: Glad you got your book. They're a great team at The Book Depository and quite often do new releases at the same time as the US and their delivery service is very fast and Catkins, nope don't regret getting mine before the release date because we can't get it in ebook form and I buy most of my books in ebook, it's an occupational health and safety reason really. My husband opened the wardrobe in the spare room one day and nearly suffered concussion when a ton of books fell on his head. So I got the "it's me or the books" conversation (you know we've all had that one) and it actually took a minute to think about it before I agreed to sell them on ebay.

Elaine; Love Hawke really do, he's hot and dominant and gorgeous and I'm so glad he's got Sienna...but I'm into stealth guys, the dangerous kind and Judd well he fits the profile, plus he's alpha material and the only reason he's not alpha in this world is because that's his choice and he's loyal to his alpha. And it allows him to move beneath the radar and to love Brenna intensely and keep an eye on his family and to hell with it here's a great scene..

Spoiler:
Hawke: "Damn it Judd you were an Arrow!"
Judd flinched. It was such a slight reaction Hawke only caught it because his wolf was watching the other man with a questioning gaze. "We couldn't risk defection when Marlee and Toby were babies." Words so precise, they were coated in frost. "There was a high probability the severance of the PsyNet link-and we always knew we'd have to do that to truly escape-would've killed them outright." A metal letter opener flew off Hawke's desk and slammed into the stone wall, the handle quivering from the force of the impact. Judd closed his eyes, fisted his hands. It took him over two minutes to speak again. "We had to wait." The bleakness in those words betrayed the cost paid for that wait.

Re: Just got my ARC

So we're finally going to learn the details and backstory of the Lauren's escape from the PsyNet? There wasn't much really said about it the previous books, not even in Caressed by Ice.

The next is hidden, as it might be a spoiler.
Spoiler:
I think it was Ming who was interested in Sienna as a protege, I hope his training methods did not include torture or torment (like the way he broke Katya in Blaze of Memory). In any case, with Ming as mentor / trainer, Sienna probably never had time to be a playful, innocent child. I mean Faith was separated from others at the age of 3. Sienna must have a lot in common with Councilor Kaleb (Silent by age 10), whose mentor was the psycho Councilor Enrique. I hope I'm wrong, can anyone confirm or deny?

and yes, bluebourbon, the guys who are not flashy but rather quiet and intense (hiding their light beneath a bushel seems the most applicable term), staying in the background making things happen are the ones to keep. king

san12, ladies, you are all tempting me to go get an ebook despite my preference for printed matter. I should resist!
