Archangel's Blade

Post by tabitha on Tue May 31, 2011 10:25 am

There's an advance excerpt up on the website. I love the banter between Illium & Dmitri and it's made me very curious about Dmitri's past, I can't wait for teh realese of this book!!!
& Can't believe there wont be another excerpt until August, so I'll have to wait that long to meet Honor Sad

I read the excerpt yesterday and today again. It`s really interesting. I love the banter between Dimitri and Illium. We´ve to wait until august to get a glimpse at Holly. Sad

Can someone tell me wheather Honor is a "normal" name? I mean I read it in Lora Leigh's Breed novels too..Female characters often have weird (in my opinion) names like (in this case) Honor or (in Lora Leigh's books) names like Scheme, Harmony, Hope or Charity. Are those really usual names? If so, I feel kind of sorry for the children Sad

Daliah, yes, I don't see myself naming my baby girl "Ehre" or "Wahrheit". But it's just like that. In Vietnamese there are names like "Trang" = PAGE/Seite or "Minh" = Ingelligence. In Japanese Mitsuki = Fullmoon, so why not Honor? Wink

Actually almost every country has names like that except Germany. Well, our names have meanings, too, but not that obvious. :>

Daliah to answer your question are these name normal? It is a matter of opinion, are they considered proper...well they originated in the ancient times of Great Britian. I actually went to school with an Honor, Charity, and a Hope, and this was 1980's New York...in this time it is considered unusual, but in the past they were very popular and considered traditional.

I was disapointed that we didn't get more of a physical description of Honour in the second excerpt Sad I like to imagine what characters look like in my head as I read about them. I still can't wait to read this!

I just brought myself an ARC on ebay and it should be here tomorrow! So I wont have to wait that long Very Happy
