Should I try?

Post by Sandy87 on Tue Dec 13, 2011 5:38 am

Hi! I recently got hooked to Nalini Singh and I just finished all the books that are out from Psy/Changlings Series. I got so spoiled by them that I can't seem to enjoy other books I find! I am following the In Death series from JD Robb, but I'm also finished with all the stuff available. So anyways, after my brief introduction, should I give a chance to the Guild Series?

Hey!! : ) Glad you joined the forum. : >

I would. Well, I did. To be honest - I didn't like the first three Guild Hunter novels, because Raphael is too Alpha-ish and cold for me, but Dmitri was some hot stuff. Plus, most Nalini fans loved the GH series, so I would give it a go. Maybe read an excerpt first? : )

I actually like the series more, too. Or, well, the worldbuilding. But not Raphael x Elena and since the first 3 books were about them.. ; >

At the beginning I wasn't very convinced... But I ended up liking them. The fit each other perfectly. I think that what I like the most is that they are really a unique couple. Lately, with all the paranormal going around, I find it very difficult to find something different.
You should try and give Raphael another chance. He is creepy in the first book, but at the end of the first book and in the rest I think he gets better Smile

I´m not that sure where to write my question, but I just started reading the Guild Hunter series so this thread will work perfectly ;-)
I just finished the first book and ordered the other 3 books, but I was a bit confused by all the short stories...I read about Sara and Deacon and Ashwini and Janvier...
so my question: Is there somebody I missed, or better: N.S. published in February a book (Angel´s flight) with all(?) her novellas concerning the angels, should I buy that one too, or have I read all the novellas allready?

If you already read Sara and Ashwini's book, then in Angel's flight there are two others, Noel's and Galen's. If you are only on book one, you haven't read about Noel yet, he's a vampire that works right under the Seven. And Galen is a member of the Seven and Raphael's weapons master who I believed wasn't introduced until book two, 'Archangel's Kiss.'
