cardinal psy eyes

Post by ren213 on Mon May 18, 2009 8:55 pm

Are the cardinal psy's eyes ALL black? (the whites and the iris)
Or is it just black where the iris and pupil normally are?
Does anyone have any idea??

Since they say in Slave to Sensation (when Sasha visits the Laurens) that no contact lenses made could hide cardinal eyes, I think that they are all black. If it was just the iris, a contact lens should be able to cover it (coloured contact lenses).

Considering Cardinals are the greatest power keepers of the Psy, why not have their eyes reflect the power of the net too?

They are described as Nightsky eyes so I would think that they are a dark blue?

If you had ever seen X-Files where the oil stuff covers the victims eyes in total blackness? Well picture that image with little white dots scattered over the top.

Yeah, it must be really unnerving to meet the eyes of a cardinal. But there would be some distinction between the pupil and the rest of the eye, right? Because I was just looking at a picture of an eye which is all black, and it is very difficult to know what the person is thinking or what emotion they're feeling. I know that cardinal eyes only appear in the Psy and most don't show emotion anyways, but what about the ones who aren't in the Net? It's not just the narrowing and widening of one's eyes/eyelids which expresses emotion, but mostly the eyes themselves. Any thoughts?

I think it would be the brightness of the stars that would give off the emotions that they are feeling. Just like the stars go out when they feel pain or other negative emotions.

I was trying very hard to imagine the eyes, but I couldn’t, than I found this picture in the internet. Could the eyes be like this? Maybe not that big?

I kind of assume they had black irises but that the whites also turned black from the way Faith's eyes are described.

I think Nalini mentioned it in a Q&A, she said that would be on to the reader but for her their eyes would be all black.
Very demonic.
But it wouldn't be so special if they were just black, with white around them, it could be just something gentical or so, but its kinda Shocked I really don't wanna meet someone with eyes like that at night

Even if their eyes wouldnt be all black: I have kind of complete-black irises. It's really dark. And I can't use contact lenses because they don't cover everything right. Tried it when I was, hmm, 16? And last year again. Won't work. But in the future? Might work Very Happy :/
