hey! I have a big problem lately. Finished all the books from Nalini and I'm trying other authors and I'm just not getting hooked to anything. I'm also into JD Robbs In Death series, but I'm also up to date with those. Need some reading distraction from studying so much this year and can't seem to find anything. Please... any recommendations?? Some author similar to Nalini?

I am going to suggest you give Ilona Andrews a try...the Magic series is good, it has everything from changelings to vampires...all with a bit of a twist in the world they live. It is a really well put together world and a great heroine and hero to follow too!

Yeah, Ilona Andrews is a good one to go to next. The Magic series is more UF with a single main couple (like NS's angel books) while their Edge series is more PNR with a new couple each book (like NS's Psy/Changeling books.)

Other than that...

World of the Lupi (Eileen Wilkes)
Deadtown series (Nancy Holzner)
and a non-serious but fun to read PNR author is Molly Harper. Smile

Sherrilynn Kenyon
J.R.Ward
Charlaine Harris
Jacquelynn Frank (not my favorite since those get pretty fast boring)

Agree, the Night Huntress (and Night Huntress World Spin-Off) is great. Ilona Andrews is so cool! I also like Gena Showalter's LOTU books, even though I haven't enjoyed her Royal House of Shadow-story or the prequel-novella of the LOTUs.

J.R. Ward is a very popular author, so check her out, but her writingstyle is sometimes a little.. erm.. odd. So fhirst she ahdds letthers to nhames, becauhse duh, vhampires, right? Then, and I had to google for these quotes.. And I have to say, just read DocTurtles reading-"diary (Here) of Dark Lover. Brilliant. ROFL

His abdomen was ribbed as if he were smuggling paint rollers under his skin.

Er, Beth. Seriously? Urgh.

his eyes gleamed like they were lit from inside his skull, all but popping out of his face like lightbulbs.

What the heck? And yeah, this is a description of the hero.

Oh and DocTurtle also thought about a quote that I personally had forgotten. A fellow of Wrath, the hero, has headache and stuff, so here's what Beth, the heroine, does:

Beth walked back to her purse and decided on Alka-Seltzer because it had aspirin it for his aches. She went into Wrath’s bathroom, grabbed a glass, and did the plop-plop, fizz-fizz thing.

The plop-plot, fizz-fizz thing? Really?

I read all of her books, though, and some I really enjoyed. Dunno if the German translation was that much better, though. (The first I read in English a few weeks ago, the others in German, the last installment again in English)

Sherrilyn Kenyon! I liked several of her DH books, especially Val's and Ash's book. Oh and erm, whatshisname. The one that reminds me of Zsadist.. Eeeh.. Anyway. But after the first 10 books it'll bore you, I think. XD

Don't read Charlaine Harris! Or do, but this woman! >_<' I constantly want to kill the heroine. So annoying!

Haha harsh words. But I agree with you. The BlackDagger-books are ... well you get used to the thought of having read those stories before. Sookie is annoying but I love True Blood Eric and Alcide is just ... yummi.

I forgot ... Dear John ... epic. Its nothing fantasy like, no vampires. Youve probably heard of the movie ... but the book is quite good too. Sometimes you just skip some pages but John is just ... he IS imperfect perfection
