Will the bond that Mercy and Riley share change the relationship between the two packs? Especially between Lucas and Hawke because of their alpha status over one part of the mated couple?

Though there are clues sprinkled throughout Branded by Fire, I deliberately didn't give an absolute answer to that because it's a thread that reappears in future books. However, I think in Blaze of Memory, it becomes fairly certain who was behind it.

The bond will change things by bringing the packs closer together. These two are such integral parts of their packs, that that is inevitable.

But as to Lucas and Hawke - they're too alpha to be swayed by anything other than their own feelings in the matter. So while they're working together more and more in terms of their alliance, any personal friendship is completely up to them.
