Re: Introduce yourselves
hey welcome here
I just finished Nora Roberts Inn Boonsboro Trilogy, I love these books and they´re easy to read as a fulltime mother with not much time to read
or if you like Navy Seals, hot Navy Seals , you should give Lora Leigh a chance with her trilogy (Dangerous Games, Hidden Agendas and Killer Secrets)
öhm, joar, oh and someone here in this Forum suggested Meagan Hatfield: Shadow of the vampire, that´s a sweet and funny book oh and Tessa Dare: A week to be wicked...
phuuh, I should stop now
nice having you here, have fun with all the good, funny and interesting stuff here

Re: Introduce yourselves
Wow I'll defiantly be busy till the next books come out for the psy and Guildhunter series come out!
And it is hard to get reading in during the day. My little one keeps me extra busy now that she is walking and getting into everything.
Iv never joined a forum before. But I thought why the hell not!

Welcome Faidrari, hope you have fun with us
As for books, I just finished The Ghost and The Goth by Stacey Kade, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. They're amazing books, even though they are ya.
Have fun!

Re: Introduce yourselves
Hello! I discovered this forum a few months ago while FREAKING out about Heart of Obsidian and the TOTAL lack of information available. I absolutely love indulging in speculation and theory and knowing that there are other people in the world as obsessed as I am with Nalini Singh. No one builds worlds like her (although I think Kresley Cole does great as well).
I think I discovered NS at my local library when MtP came out and then went back and read the series. She is now my favorite author. I thought I was excited for KoS, but this is a whole new level of "I need this book NOW". I also enjoy the GH, I loved Dmitiri's book, but Psy/Changeling is my favorite.
My name is Cassandra, late twenties, and I live outside Washington DC USA. Finished my M.A. in national security studies last year and while employed, I am looking for a job that 1) uses my eduation and 2) allows me to pay back my student loans. So happy to be among fellow fans!

Re: Introduce yourselves
Hi everyone! I think it's great seeing how Nalini Singh's fan base seems like such a diverse group. I'm often called "syaffolee" or "sya" online. And I'm a microbiologist.
So as a huge science geek, I approach a lot of speculative fiction from the standpoint of whether the world building (especially if there's any science involved) and any portrayals of scientists are believable. There have been plenty of books that I've put down because it was obvious the author couldn't tell the difference between a virus and a bacteria or that the scientist characters were all absent-minded nitwits or evil geniuses. Fortunately, Ms. Singh mostly avoids these stereotypes.
I think I probably hold the record for the latest to the introductions party. I signed up for the forum when it was first started, but I'm mostly a lurker. I first heard about the Psy/Changeling series when Slave to Sensation came out, but I didn't get around to reading it until Visions of Heat was already published. Then I managed to get a hold of an ARC of Caressed by Ice and it was that book that pretty much sealed my fate.
And like CassB, the anticipation for Heart of Obsidian is totally killing me. Probably because one of its main characters has been a favorite of mine since he was first mentioned in the series.

Re: Introduce yourselves
Oooh, so many new people! /waves
I don't know why, but waiting for Heart of Obsidian wasn't nearly as bad for me as waiting for Kiss of Snow. Maybe because I was still slightly disappointed with how TON turned out to be? Anyways, hope to see all of you here!
