The Ghost

I've heard in other places in this forum that some people think that Kaleb is the Ghost, but I don't think so. I think the Ghost is Vasic. I've been re-reading CbI (my fave!) and the conversations between the Ghost and Judd give me the impression that the Ghost has a bit more humanity in him than Kaleb. Kaleb's character is just too different...too disconnected with how the Ghost is portrayed. But then again, that could very well be the exact reason why Kaleb's the Ghost. It just seems to far fetched though. It's not consistent with his profile, as the Psy would say. hehe.

i dont think the ghost is vasic. in blaze of memory, judd the priest and the ghost were talking and he talked to judd about the arrows like he didnt know much about them. i think its kaleb in i think BoJ it said something about no one being as close to net as kaleb. which makes it sounds like he's an anchor. it PoP it says the ghost cares about someone like kaleb and who better to be half crazy like the ghost than kaleb who was trained by santano enrique

At first I was neither interested in Kaleb nor in The Ghost.
But...
...after reading BoJ Kaleb somehow got to me and I also think that there's "something about him".

Him being The Ghost now seems as some sort of good explanation to me.

i've postulated elsewhere that the ghost might actually be a descendent of the first family who went silent (mentioned in BoM in the letters from Dev's great grandmother.) can't remember the name but the eldest brother was the first Arrow, and something about that felt like it could be an ironic twist to the while Silence thing.

Vasic as the Ghost would be too obvious, we already know he works for the rebels and is 'good' because he helps people escape and saves them. Plus I think I remember him talking about the Ghost.

What I am curious about is Vasic's Silence, has he already broken it?

I think Vasic is like Judd before Judd dismantled Silence. Judd still needs what he learned so he left a trigger that will shut him down if he tries to kill. Vasic is tired of cleaning up the results of the breakdown of silence but he still has the control from being an Arrow. Vasic and the other Arrows proved that when they let Ming live after Katya shot him. We still don't know all the abilities that Vasic has. We know he's a Tk but does he have any subdesignations like Judd?

I'd love the ghost to be Vasic as it would mean we get to see much more of him I just think that it will be Kaleb.

i don't think the ghost is Vasic.
as of this point i see the ghost working almost autonomously, while Vasic is in kahoots with at least one other Arrow.
again, just my opinion.

Having just finished Play of Passion where their is a scene between the Ghost and Judd where he basically admits there is one person that he does not want to die in the coming bloodshed I think it's Kaleb and he's referring to the women he is searching for.

Id really think its Kaleb since Judd mentioned the whole "there's someone u dont want to die" thing and Kaleb is looking for someone.

But also, Kaleb points out things and talks about the Ghost rarely. When they talk about the ghost in council chambers he dosn't realy speak and when he does it sound like suport or solidarity twards the Ghost.

You could feel the almost identical coldness in both, when u compare BoJ with PoP.

I think Vasik's subdesignation is Tv, for Traveler. Their Telekinetic sub-specialty is teleportation, and boy is he ever a teleporter

I think the pieces are coming together and adding up to Kaleb being the Ghost. The one thing I can't seem to be able to find is a passage where Faith is looking at something the NetMind is showing her and sees cracks in it, cracks that are representations of herself, Sascha, and others, and the oldest one of all is the Ghost, she thinks. Since it said somewhere (again, can't remember where, sorry!) that Kaleb first spoke with the Darkmind at age 7, that could be the initial crack. Of course since he's not that old, maybe that means it isn't him

There's a coldness, but also an odd kind of curiosity the Ghost has about Judd having broken silence, and I kind of got the impression that curiosity could have been part of the reason he was so willing to help Max in BoJ. Of course it was also doing a major favor for Nikita that he could call in later, lol! It just seemed to me that the part where he finds out where the bodies are isn't logical according to the cost/benefit analysis the Psy use to decide about things. Nikita won't owe him more for that, I wouldn't think, since it's something he's doing for Max, but he finds out anyway, and then spends more time verifying the graves. It could just be something he's for whoever the platinum star represents, but I think it's more.

Also, at one point in PoP, when Judd is talking with the Ghost about the dead Psy in San Francisco, the Ghost says that he's been busy with something. Kaleb at the end of BoJ is just starting to finally find whoever it is he's looking for. I got the impression it would take a lot of work. Also, there are his dealings with the Arrows to keep him busy. Then the end of PoP when Judd pulls the Ghost back from the edge, his having one person he doesn't want to die isn't exactly logical either, and could be that platinum star person. Assuming the platinum star person is the one he's looking for.

Oh, and right after Kaleb gets to be part of the Council, he's thinking he wants the Net just for himself, which the Ghost is also wanting here. Can't quite remember which book that's in either, argh.

Anyway, I think the Ghost's Kaleb, and I'll go out on a limb here, and say he's going to be redeemed/rescued (like Judd) by the platinum star person (or whoever he's looking for, if the platinum star person is dead). I just don't want him to be totally evil! Don't know why, but I'd like for him to get a HEA with someone like Judd did. Maybe in the second story arc.

I don't think Vasic is the Ghost at all. Both being Arrows, I don't think Judd wouldn't recognize him one way or another. And in CbI, when the Ghost asked about the Arrow Squad, it shows that he really do not know too much about it. I can't imagine Vasic asking that question to "pretend" not to be affiliated to the Arrows.

After reading PoP I really think that Kaleb is the Ghost. Especially the part where Judd is talking to the Ghost and he said indirectly that there is someone he cares about. I think that this part is a clear sign that Kaleb is the Ghost.

The only question is, Who is the platinum star person? Any Theories?

Well Henry was theorizing that Shoshanna had her own pet F-psy and (I can't remember which books but) the time period that Sahara has been missing and the time period that Kaleb has been looking is roughly the same.

The only other person I can remotely think of that we already know is the swan changeling.

The facts point to Sahara. But im not so sure. I was thinking he could be looking for someone more active in the series. Something is missing. Alot is missing <<moan>>.
