Kaleb Krycheck

What do you think of Kaleb Krycheck?

I don't know. He's an interesting character. Perhaps the most interesting in the series. I don't think he's a good guy. But I'm not sure he's a bad guy either. I would love to know what's up with that charm he carries around and why he hasn't been able to find its owner.

I think he is the ghost. I have no idea why but I just have this hunch that he is ghost.

I thought this for the longest time myself. But after seeing him with the Dark Mind, I am beginning to question if his motives are along the same lines as the ghost's are. I am seeing him more as a motivated dictator than a rebel with a cause.

Its a good guess. My freind told me she thought it was Anthony NightStar but I HIGHLY doubt that. He doesn't come off as the ghost.

I am forseeing all of us going through the machinations of guessing the identity of the ghost and then kicking ourselves when he is revieled and we all say "Why didn't I think of him?!?"

Seriously! I've read the Ghost parts repeatedly to try to figure it out...and I haven't even got a clue.

Maybe Ghost isn't really just one person? ohhh there is something to think about.

Maybe. I think it is just one person, tho...since it seems to be one person with a specific agenda who has more of an allegiance to true psy than to just any one cause. And by "true psy" I don't mean one of the Pure Psy crazies...but someone who is truly looking out for what is best for his (or her, really...but I think it's a him) race...and realizes that in order for everyone to co-exist peacefully...the psy need to change how they interact with the other races, and how they interact with each other.

Then again, it could be more than one person, or a group of people that go under the name Ghost in order to make sure no one person's fall can disrupt the overall agenda.

I just get the feeling that it's one person...I could be wrong tho...I'll have to read the books again, most CBI, since that's where most of the Ghost stuff is.

Not that that will be a hardship, since CBI is my fave book behind StS.

I think it is one person. There are the scenes where just one person (and I'm thinking it is a male) who meet with Judd and the priest? And then when the Counselor is assasinated it talks about him being in a meeting with a person in a public place, again one person and male.

Of course it might be two different males? I don't know. I was kind of leanin toward Vasic myself.

Yes just one person meets them but who is to say it is the same person every time? I like the group idea LD said. It makes since to me that way.

I really have no idea what he's up to. But as i understand, he's a bit like of Judd. A Tk, he works alone and plan everything by himself. The only difference that holds me back for him to be considered as someone better was his mentor. He was trained under the late Enrique, who we do well know has psych problem.

What do you think about Zie Zen as the Ghost? He has the right contacts, much power and a powerfull (Vasic ?) Teleporter to use.

I don´t think its Kaleb, but think about his branding and his relationship to the butcher Enrique.

I'd have to say, Kaleb is probably my favorite character so far because he is ambiguous. Despite his association with Enrique and the Darkmind, I don't get the impression that he's being written as a psychopath--just very enigmatic and pursuing his own agendas.

I agree I think he defintely has his own agenda. Something I just thought about though . . . If the Net Mind is ever going to be "rejoined" with the Dark Mind? Someone is going to have to be capable of manipulating it, don't you think? Just like Faith can talk to and has a bond with the Net Mind. Mr Kaleb certainly seems able to do that.

I think he is a bad guy as well. His story is lending itself to a take over. He wants control of both net and dark minds. He is going to do in poor Henry and get him and Sho out of the way. In the end, it is going to be a battle between Saasha Mom and Kaleb for control. That's going to be an good fight and it is tough to predict who the winner will be.

So is he good or evil? Good/evil, good/evil, good/evil, I can't figure it out but right now, I'm leaning more towards the dark force theory.

I never thought of Vasic as the Ghost, but then again I haven't thought of anyone else as him, either. My theory is that
we haven't 'met' him yet (as in, we have, but not as his true self with name and all).

I'm not exactly clear about how the Arrows work, but from what I understand it's a pretty elite, select group. So if Vasic was the Ghost, I think Judd may have recognized him (or his voice, since he hasn't seen his face).

Vasic as The Ghost, I could agree with that at this point.

I don't think it's Vasic. I think it's actually Marshall who faked his own death. He has all of this info on the Council and, as one of the oldest council members, he would know a lot about the Psy race in general. Also, Kaleb said that he is house sitting for someone and it would make sense that Marshall can't publicly show his face. He would have been able to have escaped the explosion with Vasic's help. He is also the one of the Council members we knew the least about and I'm not sure we really knew what kind of Psy power he possessed.

Lili, Marshall wouldn't be able to hide without leaving the Net.
