Hi!
I'd like to ask any volunteer to check if the layout I've used is working properly in their browser. If the text is readable etc.

Hi Yurice.
The site looks fine in Firefox and Chrome but in IE the font color and background color are too close which makes reading the text very difficult.
Edit: This is what it looks like in IE: https://i.imgur.com/4BgWF.jpg

Rageane, Katherine thank you!
I saw a mistake in the opacity code. placed 10 instead of 1.0
It looked fine in my IE tho, but I hope the text is more visible now. If not, I'll have to find another way. T_T
Thank you again!

Re: Hawke and Sienna fan site.
looks good, but..is it supposed to stay so small or do you want to change it into a bigger image...I don´t know how to explain, in German I could tell you perfectly what I mean xD
ähm, the field where you read the text and see Hawkes image is so small and you have to scroll down to read more of the text...
hope you kinda understand what I mean
but I love the site, I love the quotes at the beginning of every page

Re: Hawke and Sienna fan site.
I tweaked again the opacity. It seems it's the IE browser that's hard to woo. lol.
I tried checking browser compatibility using browsershots.org, and it appears the site is compatible with Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, IE ,Seamonkey <-lol! Konqueror, Epiphany, Iceweasel, Iceape <--seriously there's browsers like these?? Maxthon and Flock.
It's not compatible still with Dillo, Navigator and older versions of IE, Chrome and Firefox. The result for Netscape didn't show up.
I'm not a coder by profession, this is more a hobby, so I don't think I can fix the issues with the other browsers.T_T
Don't know how reliable browsershot is, but I think I'm all set now.
Thank you everyone!

I checked again and it looks good now!
I've been looking at it with IE 9.0
And you're right, IE can be very hard to woo. There is a way to make IE specific stylesheets though. Let me know if you are interested.
I'd never heard of browsershots but it sounds seriously useful. Thanks for telling me about it.
Re: Hawke and Sienna fan site.
Thank you Katherine. I'm quite wary changing anything more right now, lol.
Browsershots is limited to two testing per day. But it does cover a lot of browser I've never even heard about.^^

Re: Hawke and Sienna fan site.
Many years ago I had to learn CSS really, really, fast and right away. So I went to the book store and bought a number of books on how to write CSS. One of the books, "CSS: The Missing Manual" said, "If you take nothing else from this book, take this advice: Download and Install the Web Developer's Toolbar." Given how (incredibly) useful the book had been up to that point, I immediately put it down and installed the toolbar.
I've been using it ever since.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/web-developer/
The nice thing about it is that it allows you to test changes to the CSS without actually making the changes to the stylesheet. It also comes with a number of other tools that can only be described as 'hacker-ish'.
I think you will find it useful.
