I thought we had a thread for her but can't find it now . . . so I will start one because I had a question for all you eagle eyed readers. . . .

Can anyone remember reading where one of the changelings actually says that Nikita has the "metallic" psy smell?

If I remember I think it was in Slave to Sensation that it was discussed that ALL psy have a "metallic" scent. They were assuring Sascha that her scent wasn't as strong as the others, but she did have a "metallic" scent too.

I'm glad I wasn't totally losing my mind. Now I'll have to go looking because I think I read one of the cats, and I think now it was Vaughn, put the theory out that the Psy that didn't have the metallic smell might be able to break Silence. I just can't remember if anyone ever said anything specific about Nikita having the smell.

To be honest I don't recall there ever being a conversation or statement to the effect of smell being tied to the breaking of Silence.

The passage I am thinking of is in Visions of Heat (Vaughn & Faith's book). It's on page 318 and it's after they meet with Anthony. Basic idea is that Sasha & Faith & Anthony & Judd don't give off that smell and they think it's a sign they aren't totally "immersed in Silence". That's why I was trying to remember if anyone had actually said that about Nikita.

My guess that Nikita will eventually break silence because of her daughter and even the counsel is going further than Nikita would want to go. Also I think Anthony and her would make good mates because they are both older.

I wanted Nikita to be Dev's mate. That would have been a interesting combination!

That works too. I wonder if she really believes that the Laurens were eaten by the Wolves or if she is just covering for them.

I don't mind seeing that either. Wonder if there will be full story on either Nikita/& Walker?
Same applies to Anthony, I hope to see his story (don't know why, but I keep thinking that he pairs up pretty well with Amara, lol)

Oh I don't know, I think Amara has a LONG way to go before I would saddle Anthony with her. I'd like to see him with a changeling or human or someone really warm and emotional. I think he deserves someone like that after all the years he's had to be in hiding as part of the resistance.

I believe Amara has a long way to go too and even then, it's still unknown if she's of the heroine material but I just cannot rid the thought of them together. Not sure why.

Maybe because they couldn't be much more different?

That's a possible reason. One being so stable and calm and the other unpredictable and...for the lack of a better word, psychotic (?). He can bring stability to her life and she can spice up his, hehe.

Or maybe I'm just biased because I really like them both as individuals.

I am not sure about Anthony, but Nalini has already stated that Amara will not be getting a story any time soon, if at all. She also said that she was looking to do a short story for Walker as well. These statements were made in the Q&As that we have had with her previously.

I think she said that Anthony's would take place over a period of time; that he might not have his own book, but that he probably will have a heroine.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out for everyone. Would be great if everyone gets their own book but it's more important for a strong story that fits into the overall development of the entire series rather than pushing the characters to be hero(ine) for the sake of it.

Should we have a thread on Who's who (list of characters in the series)? I think I'm going to (if not already) lose track of the various characters.

That is a cool idea Baboo...I am thinking about making one for the Guild Series also.
