After TON: Vasic, Aden, The Ghost and Kaleb

I know that we already have several posts for all of them and I could merge them once everyone has read this book (so in two weeks or so; though I'm not a mod in this threat yet, so maybe I'll have to ask Katherine) BUT I thought it'd be better to start the discussion here separately.

So, it appears that Kaleb has finally found whomever he has searched for. That makes it seem as if his book could be next. If that is the case he isn't the Ghost (because Nalini said if the Ghost ever gets a book it'll be the final P/C novel). It would make sense if the next book would focus on the Psy, though, whether it be Kaleb or someone else.

When Judd asked the Ghost if there was even one person whom he cared for the Ghost said yes, there was one. I wonder if the Ghost is Vasic and the person he cared for Aden. I know that Vasic also cares a great deal about the other Arrows, but thats loyalty, not the odd bond he and Aden have.

Judd met Aden several times and looked at him, but as far as I remember he never looked Vasic straight in the face. Before I wondered if it didn't matter whom he looked at, because if the brain does not connect a face with an individual, then it can't be traced that way. (For example.. Hugo is my English teacher. When I meet him in school I think of him as my English teacher. When I'm having a hot affair with him, I think of him as my lover. If I'm able to train my brain in a certain way I will never make the connection between both of his "personas". Therefore Judd could look at 'The Ghost' as long as he didn't meet the Ghost in his 'Ghost' persona.)

The Ghost wants to protect the Psy, the Net, he talks about himself as if he was a lost cause, very much like Vasic apparently does. Vasic talks about paying debts and then apparently commiting suicide, something I'm not sure the Ghost would do.

The Ghost was there when Sienna and Hawke had their mating ceremony and looked at Judd and Brenna. Later Vasic reflects upon the fact that Judd has a life, that Aden has a chance to get the same, though the trigger of that thought was something else entirely.

I'm not sure however, because many things point in different directions. So.. what do you think? Yes, no, someone else, blah?

The Ghost doesn´t "sound" like Vasic.
And I know, that´s not a very rational assessment, I need to reread under the aspect of time-space continuum. Means: Nalini said, she took great care, that the Ghost was never in two places at the same time.
And it really strikes me, how in ToN in the second scene with the Ghost, Aden was talking with Judd beforehand... but Vasic wasn´t there ^^

Well I always thought that the Ghost sounds too insane to be Kaleb. The councilor comes off collected, in control, so I couldn't associate the two as the same.

After ToN I'm more convinced the Ghost is Vasic.

That part where the Ghost watched H&S mating ceremony. It implied a longing on the Ghost's part to have a life different from the one he has. And both Aden and Vasic has noted that Judd has a life, while they merely existed.

Kaleb on the other hand is 'fixated' on finding someone...and ruling the net.^^

One thing I know for sure...I don't want Vasic to die!

Me either, I was all convinced Kaleb was the Ghost but Nalini hints in this book acouple of times that it might be Vasic.

I can't wait to find out about Vasic's past and I don't want him to die!

If you read the last part of the book again, Kaleb uses the Psy he has been searching for's mind to locate the real person he is looking for who I think is maybe a changeling girl who Enrique tortured, I think she may have been part of the BlackEdge wolf pack hence his connection to them and why he knows they will kill the people he is planning on asking them too.

Hawke also has a link to the BlackEdge wolf pack and I think that is maybe where Alexei was from...

sigh, I don't want Vasic to die either....that would hurl me into paranormal fiction depression...lol

Yeah, so far the voice did sound different, but we didn't have that many scenes in Vasic's POV, either. Time-Space thingie. Yes, I remember reading about that, and I checked already (though not attentively enough) - It is very much possible that Vasic is the Ghost. Plus, he has the ability to port, right?

I never thought the Ghost sounded 'insane', but I agree that it didn't sound like he as Kaleb that much either, 'specially not after ToN. But then, maybe Nalini just wants us to believe it's Vasic.. Argh!

Also, Kaleb is not interested in ruling the Net, if I got it right. At least that is what was (at least) implied in the scene he had in ToN with Nikita, where she said "Nah, you wouldn't do that, bro, cause you want to rule the Net, so why kill it?" and he thought something like "Pha, that's not what I want at all, but let her believe it.." - I think he just wanted to find the person and needed as much power over the Net as possible.

I don't think he'll die in the next book, but afterwards all bets are off. I mean.. Maybe she'll kill him off, but if so, then it will definitely be an amazing scene.. Sometimes, and I know that sounds evil, characters are more "powerful" if they die. Like with Kiss of Snow where we were all super excited about Sienna and Hawke and many were disappointed because our imagination ran wild and made them something far 'stronger' than they were in the end? (Though with ToN lots of the Sienna and Hawke disappointment seems to have decreased.)

I often thought about the possibility of the woman he is searching for being the girl that was tortured back then.. Hmm.

Something else. About the chapter.. I have to reread it later, but my Kindle battery is empty atm. So, the one he found in the end.. Is it the one he has been searching for all the time? The thing is.. he couldn't port to her before. Why? Because of the bunker she was in? And then he was only able to find her because he had found her mind to teleport to?

I find it interesting that he says/thinks multiple times that no one will expect what he wants to use them for. Maybe we don't, either. Maybe he doesn't have any positive bond with that girl/woman. Maybe she is an enemy of his or someone who knows more about him than they should? Okay, that's far off.. (But better than my friend.. I told her about the books and she said "Maybe he got someone pregnant." (In her defence, everyone is getting pregnant these days and we had been talking about that before) and after I explained that Psy don't really have sex (she actually gasped LOL) she said "Maybe his sperm was stolen" etc. It was a funny conversation.. Why am I talking about that? Argh. v_v)

I think Kaleb is the Ghost....Judd knows Vasic, they trained together when Judd was in the arrow squad, right?
And at the end of the book, when Judd is talking with the Ghost and then with Xavier, Judd said that the Ghost had to leave because "he was called away by something urgent"... my thought are that The Ghost=Kaleb and he left to that place where the girl was...Maybe I'm just confused

Judd has also certainly already seen Kaleb's face, considering that he's a Councilor.

Oh, true! But Vasic was somewhere else, then, too, wasn't he?

When exactly did they kill Henry?

I think they killed Henry before the scene where Judd speaks with the Ghost. This scene is the last one where we see Judd.

Yes, Aden tells Judd, that they killed Henry.

I think I am over Kaleb being the Ghost, especially given some of the things Vasic says....

No way! I am 99% sure that we met his HEA at the end of TON.

Of course, the question is...just who the Hell is she?

For a long time I believed Kaleb was the Ghost, now I'm not sure.

I don't know if Vasic is the Ghost. Why would there be a reason to keep this from Aden? Why would Vasic meet secretly with Judd and Aden, and then meet secretly as the Ghost with Judd? Maybe he wouldn't want Aden to know everything he was doing to help Judd perhaps?

I've always thought it was Kaleb but . . . maybe the Ghost character is not someone we know yet, a total wild card new character.

It could be Vasic, but I dont think so.

Maybe Aden knows and just isn't there for his own protection, maybe Vasic wouldn't let him know to protect him and keep him out of the Ghost's business and .. well, insanity.

That's why I thought that Vasic wouldn't have secret meetings with Aden and Judd and then have another secret meeting with Judd as the Ghost. I'm think that it's most likely Kaleb but that's only because there's only really Aden/Vasic and Kaleb to choose from..But I'm not even sure about Kaleb, so that wuld leave someone new which is a little disappointing because we won't really have know the Ghost al that well.

With most authors I'm like.. "If you want us to believe that is who [secret person] is, then he most likely is not. Argh, damn you!"

I'm not sure yet about Nalini. She made us think Sienna and Hawke would have something and they did. So..

That's true..it could very well go in a lot of different ways..she could just as easily be misleading us or dropping us big, juicy hints about who the Ghost is.

What about Anthony as the Ghost? Not sexy enough lol?

Anthony can't teleport and we know that the Ghost can.

Yeah, I thought of that after I posted and also the Ghost told Judd there was 1 person he wants to live. Anthony would probably say Faith, his son Tarique and, maybe, Nikita
