Angel's Pawn came out today. To all you lucky people who have bought and read the thing, please, let the rest of us mere mortals know you think.

I just finished reading it. It's actually really short but very interesting. It's a good way to introduce the three races, angels, vampires, and humans and their interactions with one another. The portrayal of the angels as the dominant force in this world and the vampires as their servants worked really well and left me intrigued. However, the story doesn't really have an ending in that there are there are many questions left unanswered. This novella seems more like a few chapters from a much larger story involving these two characters. But I have to say I love these two characters and I hope Nalini continues to write about them. As you can see, I've avoided adding info on the plot because I think it's one of those stories you have to read to fully enjoy. If Angels' Pawn is any indication of books to come, this series is going to be just as great as the Psy/Changeling series.

Angel's Pawn -- How was it? Empty ANGELS' BLOOD

Post by Ceruleankiss Sat Apr 18, 2009 7:51 pm

This book was sooooo good I'm thinking that this will be a series will be like JD Rob In death series, where the story always surrounds these two characters Elena and Archangel Raphael.
Really looking froward to more stories about these two.

I hope to see Ashwini more. She's catching,no need to mention Cajun. I just admire Nalini Singh work.. Psy-Changeling-Human. Angel-human-vampire. The imagination and talent is a very great combination. Smile and as I see in the book.. it seems that it is just a beginning, not the end of Ashwini story. So I'm gonna wait for..hm,Angel's Pawn 2 Smile

Seem I'm brand-spanking new to this series, this is the story I read first (because it said somewhere that I should read it first, IDK) and I loooved it! I need more of Janvier, and Ashwini (weird name) has a very torment soul; would really enjoy seeing how the Cajun heals her *swoons*

I think part of the reason Ash is so tormented is that she is able to hear the "screams in the walls" as we learned when she returned the vamp to the angel and stayed for dinner. I soooo wouldn't want to be her but also I can't to read more of their flirting... Angel's Pawn -- How was it? Icon_cool

Ashwini has always interested me, I like that she is a soul reader? If that's the right way to put it.
Janvier is smoking hot and he gives her silience.
The novell was far, far too short though Sad
