Yeah, its a great show. Amazing characters, great cinematography and I love the storyline.

A show about a sheirff who woke up from a coma in a world where zombies have taken over the world...a show like that with GOOD WRITING...I never thought I'd see the day.

Sounds interesting. Most Zombie movies I think are dumb, but with good writing I could imagine that you could make a good series.

The Walking Dead was completely AWESOME!!! I can't wait for it to return. =)

I like how it kind of gives props to 28 Days Later, probably my favorite zombie "movie-movie."

28 Days Later was awesome! *high-five*

I'm waiting so un-patiently for the show! The first season was genius...I really hope they can make it just as good for the next one.

And yes, sadly most zombie movies are dumb (exception being 28 Days Later) but 'The Walking Dead' is GENIUS.

Just wondering what you guys think -

Maybe it's b/c of HD, but have you noticed a trend in people in movies looking, ummm, really real? Zits, wrinkles, sun damage, bloodshot eyes, etc.

I was looking at the trailer for 'Bridesmaids' (which I will NOT be seeing Rolling Eyes ) and the characters looked dirty even. After binge-drinking type dirty. Maybe it's just certain types of movies.

I'm not much of a movie-goer, unless it's a Pixar movie. I like random foreign stuff and funny British shows, usually.

*I hope that didn't sound snobby, it wasn't meant that way Embarassed *

You didn't sound snobby. Not at all. =]

But, I don't get what you mean by ''looking real'? I guess when I watch a movie everything seems real with wrinkles, and zits and stuff? But then again, HD is awesome and makes you SEE EVERY blade of grass when your watching a game.

And i LOVE PIXAR movies. My favorite being Toy Story 1 & 2, A Bug's Life and Finding Nemo...I'm sure theres more...I pretty much love every pixar movie with the exception of Cars.

I love foreign movies! And I saw the trailer for Bridesmaid. It looks funny, chances are I will probably rent it with my friends. XD

As far as British shows, BEING HUMAN!!! Love it!!

PHEW! I'm sorry if I'm rambling. I can talk forever about movies and tv shows!

I really don't know how to explain it, argghhh.

You know how in old movies like "It's a Wonderful Life" the actress' skin looks flawless? Then you have movies like "You've Got Mail" that are more recent but not HD - the actors are made up but not so much that they look unrealistically flawless. Now, with HD you see everything. Every pore, every smudge of dirt, stuff like that. When I'm watching I get distracted by it all. I went to see "The A-team" and felt like recommending noxema to Liam Neeson. Maybe it's just action type movies?

PIXAR!! I loved Nemo, too! So many people have told me it's their least favorite for some reason. I loved Toy Story 1&2 so I didn't go see 3 out of stubbornness - big mistake. I watched it on DVD and it may be my favorite of the 3. The Incredibles is still my favorite though. Smile I wish they'd made an Incredibles 2 instead of a Cars 2...

British sci-fi type shows are the best. Then they're dragged over here and butchered. I heard they're bringing the IT Crowd (not sci-fi, but anyway...) to the US and I'm reaaallly wary.

Ahhh, now I understand. Everyone looked flawless in ''It's a wonderful life'', probably one of the greatest movies every made.

I actually like seeing flaws since we all have flaws too. But I guess it depends on what you like or don't like.

I haven't seen toy story 3 out of stubornness either. I'm afraid I will cry cause last time I cried in a cartoon movie was The Lion King II, and it was not pretty. I think they are making Incredibles 2, actually. UGH, cars 2....bleh.

British TV SHOWS should not be 'remade' here. THEY KILL IT. Like Skins, Being Human..etc. Its a disgrace. I refuse to watch any show that is 'remade' into a US version (with the exception of The Office).

(By re-made, I mean a remake. I keep making up words)

Awww, Finding Nemo is so cute! I showed it to my 6th graders before and then made them do a report/poster project on one of the characters. It's the best assignment ever, as I get to sit & watch it while they work. ;-)

Isn't it such a calm movie? I love the music and the way they animated the water...

and evidently the water is why my sister can't stand the movie. Suspect She says it creeps her out.

I fear for her future.

Today I've got the first part of "H.P. and the deathly hallows" and while watching the movie again I've notice again that the scenes in the tent still annoy me very much... Very Happy

Why?
I generally liked the 7th/part1 movie. It seems to me the best of all done so far. It is sad, especially those scenes with Hermione and her parents from the beginning

You mean the part where Hermione and Harry are dancing? If so, THEN YES. It wasn't even IN the book. I had A LOT of complaints about the first part of Deathly Hallows but I can't blame them. There's only so much you can put in that movie. But I hated the dancing part, I seriously heard every Harry/Hermione shipper reunite because of that scene. Ugh.

But all in all Deathly Hallows was fantastic, I can not wait for the next part.

Oh the H/H & H/G shipping wars... good times, good times.

The dancing scene was really weird. I don't know why they'd reunite over something like that O_o

Harry/Hermione shippers are always looking for 'subtle plots', quotes, or scenes in movies that have to do with the non-existent ''love'' between Harry and Hermione.

THAT scene....made every harry/hermione shipper rejoice.

I'm sure they enjoyed the fake-snog scene that was supposed to upset Ron, too. *gag*

I don't get why anyone would use something in a movie adaptation of a book as justification for some pairing that has already been killed by canon. It's not like it's Star Trek.

I am looking forward to the second-half. I've never been a fan of the movies (Dan Radcliffe just doesn't fit my image of Harry) but I do like the sets and CG. And I loved the breaking into the Ministry scene, lol. Rupert Grint is hilarious.

I was thinking "What the hell is Nick Cave doing in a Harry Potter movie?" when I watched the scene.
Otherwise I try to see the movie as something detached from the book. Doesn't always work so well.

Can you think of any movie that was better than the book it was based on?

Agree, although I see them more as equally successful

Capt. Corellis Mandoline was far better than the book
Read the book, liked it, didn`t know that they made the movie
