Vasic's capacity to care for others will just kill me.
And I'll be totally ready to kill, whoever did this to him
And I wanna know his name....
I mean, how many more possibilities can there be?
- Other Possible Names:
- Another Psy featured in a past book is Katya Haas, then there's Sophia Russo (whose parents were jerks who basically disowned her and just gave her to their government).
He can be a brother of Sophia's

Re: Shield of Winter
- Spoiler:
- I am not sure about Sophia. It might be Katya though. I keep looking for Slavic names and families with an affinity for Telekenesis.
Though we DO know someone with unusual silvery eyes: Tanique Grey. Rhough he otherwise has caribbean ancestry. Not sure, which parent he got the eyes from

Re: Shield of Winter
- or:
- how about Ashaya and Amara? I had a dossier of all the characters including descriptions and family relations (named or not) but the file's gone missing. Ashaya has blue/grey eyes too.
And about the term "featured" - how prominent was she or he in the story?

Re: Shield of Winter
- Spoiler:
- Might be as well, but since we all asked ourselves, how Vasic got into the rebellion, I'll stick with Kyriakus. Also, Vasic is the serbian form of greek basileus. Whoch woukd fit

Re: Shield of Winter
- Spoiler:
- oh, did not know where his name came from. But somehow, I can't imagine Anthony K having a relative who was given up to the Arrows just like that. I think he would keep track of the child, if ever.

Re: Shield of Winter
- Spoiler:
- well, maybe he did and that´s how Vasic adn Aden ended up on their side?
But that means, he would be blood relation to Sahara and thus to Kaleb.

Re: Shield of Winter
- Spoiler:

Don't suppose you can tell us outright who he's related to?

Re: Shield of Winter
I sincerely hope not. I don't want a re-hash of Kaleb's sentiments about being that monster's son with Vasic.

Re: Shield of Winter
Plus, since Vasic is that rare true Tk-Traveler, Enrique would not have surrendered him to the Arrows. He would have enslaved Vasic the way he did with Kaleb.

True, didn't think of that. What further horrors could Enrique have done with unlimited travel capability...
I will be extremely interested to see who Vasic is related to. Poor baby. I so want him to be happy.
Judd used to be my favorite, but now Vasic is number one.
It is to NS's credit that we can feel so strongly about people who do not exist except on paper.

Your sentiment just made me think......I love how Nalini is consistent with her characters personalities. They don't 'become different people' after getting paired up with their significant other. Kaleb, for example, is still something of an anti-protagonist even with Sahara by his side.

Re: Shield of Winter
Right.
And what drew me to Vasic in the first place, is his capacity to defend innocents and respect others.
this already was already apparent in HtP and I totally see the same characterization in SoW

One of the things I remember about Vasic was that he could not take Mercy's gun from her, his telekinetic blow just moved her aim.
That was when Dorian was shot in Hostage to Pleasure

Re: Shield of Winter
I had suspicions that Vasic might have some Empathy in him, as he was so sensitive to be so careful of other people. Just like Toby, but in Vasic's case, the Arrow trainers might have suppressed that part of him.

Re: Shield of Winter
Yep. That was my suspicion too
Making Vasic a killer is maybe one of the cruelest things ever.
He just doesn't have it in him. Worse, it counter to everything, he is.
He literally is a born protector

Cocktails and Books in goodreads has revealed that while Ivy Jane knows only that she is a 3.2 Tp-Psy, she is primarily an E-Psy, 9.8 on the gradient.
