Hi Dari, yes that's one thing I do love the covers I don't know why but us covers just seem slightly sordid and off-putting if I'm honest the reason I hadn't read Nalini Singh for a long while was the covers and then I saw slave to sensation in a bookstore over here with the uk cover and I thought I'd give it a shot the rest as they is history and it's true I should have never judged that book by it's cover as it was one of the best discoveries I ever made and I could have reas it much sooner but then I would have had to wait longer for KOS and I think the wait I have had has been long enough!! Two more weeks to go yay!!!!

Yes, MissRia, I know exactly what you mean: in my opinion the US-cover of Caressed by Ice is sooooooo ugly and the other books are only a little bit prettier than this....only Play of Passion (ohh i love Indigo & Drew) is quite good......but all the UK ones look really good!!! Very Happy

I think, they look also better than the german covers.....cause they are getting a little unimaginative.... all the books look the same.

I'm not a big fan of the U.S. covers and titles either, but the stories are so good and Nalini is such a terrific writer that I don't let it bother me too much and I surely won't let it stop me from buying any of the series in the future.

I'm guessing that authors in general don't have a lot of say about the cover art (?) and sort of have to go with what their publisher wants.

There were no obvious hints, but Hawke was more than sexually frustrated in KoS... So it seems like he spent lots of time alone in his bed

Simply adore the fact that Hawke doesn't use his position(and pretty face!) to jump into bed with any random female to assuage his needs. Nothing is more of a turn-off to me than an alpha character who displays his virility by sleeping around. That Hawke remained celibate throughout this Sienna thing cements the fact that she means more to him than he's willing to admit. How romantic.... flower

KTL, I agree. I do wonder if we run into any of Hawke's old girlfriends in KoS who want to get rid of Sienna or undermine their budding relationship?

That hasn't ever happened in a Psy-Changeling book that I recall. (I only recall Riaz trying to get back with Indigo but even he knew it wouldn't work, the random sentinel trying again with Mercy, and Juanita trying to help Tammy with Nate in their short story.) So, I'm guessing that won't happen as it seems like it might distract from all the other stuff going on in the book.

It isn't all good tho, she has some negatives to point out about this book. Sad
