Hawke and Sienna? Empty Hawke and Sienna?

Post by lili Fri Jan 23, 2009 1:28 pm

Does anyone think that these two are destined to be mated? Is their relationship inevitable?

Personally, I hope not, just because it'll be a little too obvious in my opinion. I'm hoping Nalini will throw a huge curve ball and Hawke will mate with someone we haven't met yet and Sienna will have her own story later.

What does everyone else think?

I think Sienna has a lot of growing up to do before she mates.

Hm. Maybe people are reading more into it than there is. I'm having a very hard time envisioning Hawke and Sienna together because to me, the pairing doesn't seem as intuitively obvious as online speculation elsewhere makes it out to be.

I think Sienna has a lot of growing up to do, as well. I can hardly wait to see where she goes with Hawke's story - love him! Smile

I think it's a done deal, although who knows what can happen after a few more books? I reckon Hawke is grumpy all the time because of the age difference, similar to Nate's problem in Beat of Temptation. And I suspect Sienna will have to go through something huge that forces her to stop being such a brat.

I'm not sure 'grumpy' is the right word for it. He's more like perpetually ticked.

I think (and this is just me remembering) that Hawke and Sienna bash heads alot and it seems to my speculation that Hawke is frustrated with Sienna because maybe she brings out the feelings in him that he believes should have only been for his 'almost mate'. If I remember correctly, he lost his 'mate' before she was of age to be a mate... am I wrong?

I read a lot of "mate"-type books so I may be cross-referencing. tongue

Anyway - and Hawke, being the alpha he is, makes Sienna rebel, which in turn makes his alpha come out even more which makes her need to rebel more (also isn't she having problems with Silence)

Looks like I need a re-read lol Very Happy

That's how I'm reading it, too.

Mmm, Hawke. I drool when I think of his book. Seriously. I don't know if it can ever live up to my expectations.

I absolutely believe Hawke is mated to Sienna. I remember somewhere - may be on her website or in an interview - Nalini said that Sienna has been through a lot and it makes her more mature than others her age. (Course she still acts out all the time.)

It has been made clear that Hawke is considered a cool, level-headed guy, but he loses it so easily around Sienna. (That kind of happened with Dorian and Ashaya, and they ended up mated.) The first time you see Hawke and Sienna together is when Sascha and Lucas went over to the SnowDancer den and met the Laurens. There is so much feeling between the two of them - angry and frustrated though it may be, it's still there. The tension between Hawke and Sienna in that scene, and later in the series, would be inappropriate if their relationship wasn't going somewhere...

May be it's just that I am a Sienna fan...she's only a couple of years younger than me. Wink

I am a big fan of Hawke, so I can't wait for his book. As for Sienna, I'm wondering what power she has considering it's as dangerous as Judd's. As for them mating, I definitely wouldn't mind, yet I liked the idea that the girl that died really was his mate. I'm not sure how Nalini is going to pull this off, but I'm excited.

They hadn't mated yet. They were both too young for the mating bond to set.

I'm looking forward to finding out what Sienna's power is.

I think Sienna is an X-Psy. We don't know anything about them and it was said in one of the books (I think HtP) that they were really rare. Also, "X-Psy" sounds really ominous, so I bet the X-Psy are dangerous. I have wondered if it is the X designation that allows certain Psy - like faith in VoH - to create an illusion.

Hawke and Sienna? Empty X Psy

Post by Daniela Fri Feb 13, 2009 8:59 am

I've been also wondering a lot about Siennas powers. On her homepage, the X- designation is named as mentioned but not explained (yet). Then other designations are mentioned as not named in the books yet- the ability to create illusions is mentioned there. So I think this is not the X- power. But I remember something about a big spoiler waiting for us in the next book. study
As far as I remember from the books, the x-power is an agressive designation, like tk. Didn`t she tell Judd, that she doesn`t need training because she can easily kill??? And I recall from the first book, that Sienna and Judd created a disturbance in the Net to give Sasha time for her search there. And I think that Ming wanted her to work for him, he even mentioned her when looking for a possible new council- member.
Well, lots to think about.

Ming had Sienna in mind as a possible protogee. Not necessarily a future council member, but maybe a future arrow.

Post by droplet Sun Feb 15, 2009 8:55 pm

I'm REALLY looking forward to hearing more about Sienna - she's just so interesting! I'm really curious about her motivations for her actions, such as acting like a brat. Personally, I think she's had to mature pretty quickly because of her powers, her mother's death, dropping out of the PsyNet and now living with the wolves, etc. It seems to me like she's hiding things, and that the spoliled kid act is a way to keep her distance from people (but maybe not all of it...she is still young). But who knows?

And I'm a fan of Hawke and Sienna. I'd be so dissapointed if she wasn't Hawke's mate. But there hints that their relationship is going to develop, and on her website Nalini said she wouldn't pull a 'bait and switch'. So, I have hope!

Oh YES, i think this is possible and i really hope they are the one's destined for each other.

With Sienna's attitude and personality, what she needs is someone who has the strength like Hawke. As I observe no one can get to her way wihout pissing them off. She's too brat and too angry.

Hawke has the capability to rein/harness her and her powers to keep it under control. She's too strong for a lesser man as regards to her behavior. (And vise versa. I couldnt imagine the alpha snowdancer to be with a lesser woman.)

No one can do that better except this guy - HAWKE IS THE MAN!

I think that Hawke looks on Sienna as a seregate daughter that "Could have been his and his mates". I get the impression of a father/daughter type of relationship from them. Walker is her Uncle but is still too ingrained in silence to provide the emotional connection, and Judd is too much of a teacher for her to get close too.

Hey I'm new here and so glad to be able to talk about Nalini's books of which I have just recently become a fan...
as for Hawke....love him and can't WAIT for his book.
I think they will mate rather than be father and daughter figures because in the last 2 books there was alot of emphasis placed on the fact that Sienna is about to turn 18...in other words...legal ;-)
Even if it is obvious I am confident that Nalini will have some great twists and turns for us.

Though I would prefer if their relationship was father/daughter, I don't think it will happen that way. I wouldn't mind if she was with someone else, like Max (the cop). I can't wait for Hawke's book either way

I don't know Sienna seems a little young and irritating to mate with anyone yet. I think she might be a good choice for Kit actually. I don't know I just feel and attraction there but I could always be wrong. And of course I haven't read his short story from her website yet either.

I hadn't even thought about Kit as a choice. I would like that, since he'll eventually be an alpha. But I haven't picked up any hints towards that. The short story is a brother sister moment

I see I have been waiting to read it. Kit and Sienna seems a much better choice then the older Hawke and younger Sienna but I could always be wrong. ^^
