Yes, please post if you find it! I know she's technically very old now, but I assumed her body just "froze in place." I couldn't find it in the emails to her parents, just that's she's still single & young enough to still have kids at some point.

ps. Concerning my other question, I thought you were referring to Aden & Vasic and I was thinking, "What?!?!" (although they do seem very close for being Psy, haha)

Right, cryogenics means she was frozen at whatever age she was at the time. I figured her to be in her early 30's, late 20's maybe, a youngish researcher still e-mailing her parents.

but if she wrote an email to her parents, wouldn't she have written:
Dear, Mom/Dad/Parents
and finish it with
your daughter/your Alice ?
Is it so? Maybe she was emailing to someone else? Or even not sending it away?

To answer your question, she did. She was talking to her parents in the emails about her research.

On the subject of Alice, these are the reasons I don't think she's old.

1970

While I'm currently completing my thesis on EPsy...

George, who will soon be a colleague rather than a supervisor...

So she finishes what I assume is her PhD thesis in 1970, which probably puts in her in her mid twenties. The university then takes her on and funds her for another study, and her supervisor becomes her colleague. Another clue that she is probably young comes a few years later, with

1972

...yes I am still single, but I have time yet before you're consigned to retirement without grandchildren (especially since you plan never to retire).

Admittedly parents harrass their children like that well after they're grown, but I think it still supports her being in her late twenties by this point. Her parents obviously won't be retiring for some time.

The start of 1975 is probably when she's put into cryogenic sleep. Therefore, I think she's about 30. The descriptions of her after Judd finds her don't seem to give anything away about her age.

Yeah, that's why I was thinking she's early 30s, at the latest. (I'm thinking maybe 27ish??) While I know some people here don't want her to be a heroine in the future, I think it'd make for an interesting book. I mean, she pretty much wakes up in the future. That's gotta be pretty cool. There's also the aspect of her needing to regain her memories, ect. She'll have to struggle with all of that.

I wonder what happened to the EPsy who wiped her memories? I hope we find out.

It maybe the one Hawke referred to. He said her name was Zia, she was a low level E and she lived to be right around 130 or so.

I do think Alice is probably being set up as a future h. It makes some sense to me as it would be different from the icy cold Psy or gorgeous dominant changeling women.

i wonder who would she end up with... one of Hawke's lieutenants, maybe? I would really like a book with her being the heroine... the things she must know from the past, a world without Silence, and what she must feel waking up in this new world!

I think because if the way she reacted to Judd ( she recognized he was an arrow and was defiant) and because it was the arrows who did this to her that for dramatic effect it just has to be an arrow.

I think there could be a chance that Kenji and Garnet (Jem) could be the next main pair. Kenji is knowledgable about the BlackSea situation, so we can find out more about that. I don't know where Jem is located. However, I would love to go back to DarkRiver for a bit and catch up on their happenings.
