jupp, I´m in the middle of the second book and totally hooked up, it´s amazing, I simply love N.S. her books are....I have no words xD....amazing

She is great, isn't she. Sometimes I have to go away and read other writers and then I realize all over again how talented she is.

It took me a little bit to get into the Guild Hunter series but it is a really rich and interesting world so I follow it almost as closely as Psy Changeling.

ja, me too, I love her, she´s sooo good, I read some weeks ago *Must love hellhounds* and loved all the stories, but I started her story and was like, omg she´s a genius, she makes me smile/ laugh/ cry/scream...amazing...
it took me some years and many people telling me how great the books are to start reading the books, but now I´m hooked....kinda different from the Psy books but sometimes so alike...all these alpha males

Remember in AK ,it was said that Neha adopted a lot of human children whose parents she killed.So the princess is possibly a favored child turned vamp.

I am glad that this takes place in another Archangel's court,I think it will be interesting to see Neha's differences from Raphael.

No. We're going back to Elena and Raphael. :-)

A lot of fans are going to whine over that one. And who would even expect Venom to get a book before Illium? However, if I were to guess, I'd say Illium would get the last book in the series. So his relationship and how much he hangs around Elena wouldn't have to change as she continues to write Elena/Raphael books.

As much as I like reading about the Seven, i suspect it was only a matter of time before our favorite winged Guild Hunter and most handsome archangel returned front and center. I just hope that in this one, it focuses more on them moving forward and less on the demons of their past. Although, Raphael's past isn't going away anytime soon with Caliane awake.

Anyways, enough of my rambling. Thanks Lulu, for posting this.

Yes, I agree that if it's another Raphael/Elena book, I hope we get more about the future and less about the past. I was getting tired of the "drip, drip, drip" of blood and all that. I'd like some resolution to the Elena/Jeffrey relationship so that she can find some peace. I keep thinking there is more to it than Jeffrey just being an ass.

Wow! Just finished reading the Chapter 1 excerpt. The end of the chapter answers a bunch of our questions about who Mahiya is and her relationship to Neha!!!! I love that it picks up directly from the end of Archangel's Blade too.

I was not a fan of the Honor/Ingrede ending....I wanted Honor to legitimately be her own woman an her insight into Dimitri to just be a visceral, almost tanginle testimate to them falling in love...I was bummed when it was Ingree part 2...aside from that I love this series like nobodies business and if Illium evwr gets his own book...*faint*

I didn't mind the Honor/Ingrede ending at all but that's me. I don't think Dmitri could have fallen in love with anyone but a re-boot of Ingrede lol, but I am a soppy romantic at heart.

So wait...is Mahiya half human/angel? Or was Eris a vamp and she is Vamp/angel? Any sister of Neha would have tohave been and angel right? Or was Eris an angel too?

I can't recall if much detail was ever provided about Eris in the earlier books but we do now know that he was 3,000 years old so I'd guess he was also an angel. So that would make Mahiya an angel too.

Yes you are right he is an angel. I have to remember that all angels are not super strong- hence him being her pet creature....

That was one of the most awesome excerpts I've ever read. I would love to have been a fly on the wall when Dmitri spoke to the three of the Seven not present before the wedding. What do you think they would have said? My first thought was, "Are you sure about this? You going to marry a hunter?" I'm sure all of them probably gave him their support, but they've got to be thinking the same thing as when Raphael took Elena as a consort.

If Elena is Raphael's greatest weakness that was mentioned in this excerpt, then what will Honor be to Dmitri if not the same thing? Even if she agrees to be Made that very year, she'll still be weak for the next hundred years or so. I find this concept so fascinating, which means I don't think it will get old anytime soon when enemies constantly target the consorts of these powerful men.

I have to admit I was a bit maybe not surprised as intrigued to learn that Jason is a man in ever sense of the word, which means that every now and then he takes someone to his bed. Maybe because he was described as such a recluse in the previous books that I had a hard time conceptualizing him being intimate with anyone. It's good to know he's not a monk I suppose. =p By the way, has anyone else noticed that he seems to have a good amount of female spies working for him. Maya had been mentioned in the past, and now Samira. Hmmm. I don't think Jason would be one to mix business with pleasure, but you never know! But on another note, after Jason and Mahiya hook up, they will probably be the first true power couple out there that had their own story. 'Cause I'm willing to bet this Mahiya can hold her own in a fight.

This is the first time we'll see a strong, female - already immortal character, and I know some people may make a case for Jessamy and Nimra but it's not the same in my book. I'm prepping to be part of team Mahiya, I just hope she doesn't give poor Jason too much grief before succumbing to his hotness!

LOL! That's very true and should make this book stand out. Elena was just recently Made an angel and Honor will be Made a vampire so they will be relatively weak for a long, long time. Mahiya is likely to be quite strong.

By the way, of the Seven, I would think it would be Aodhan who has lived the life of a monk since he can't bear to be touched. Poor lonely angel!!!!

Was Honor an actual hunter on a daily basis? She was a member of the Guild but I thought her expertise was in languages and history or something like that. She can defend herself but I didn't think she was out there fighting and tracking down escaped vamps every day. Or have I remembered this incorrectly?

I almost cried from excitement. Or peed. Or something as lovely as that. That excerpt was probably the BEST excerpt I ever read and now I can't wait to get my hands on the novel.. It's worse than before. And I thought it wouldn't get any worse.
